HERE IS PROOF - MISREPRESENTATION OF FACT
Excerpt taken from SHOW CAUSE HEARING transcript. Bedford Township, Monroe County, Michigan, July 25, 2013. Case No. 13-35025-AV
DIRECT EXAMINATION OF ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER BRETT RAYMO (OBR), called by and sworn by Mr. Philip D. Goldmsith (PDG)
PDG – Okay. Okay, if you – Officer, if you would go ahead and –and state what your involvement in this matter was.
OBR - …when I arrived on the scene, she had, you know, the two dogs contained. I did – I did take immediate con – control of the animals into my vehicle. Photographs were taken of the animals, the pigs, and all the damage that they had caused, and then the animals were, you know, seized and brought back to Monroe County Animal Control.
PGD – Okay. In terms of the -- the pigs that were killed, and the one that was injured, did – were you able to, at the time you responded and conducted your investigation, able to view those animals?
OBR – Yes….And I – I was the one that provided – took all the photographs of the injuries.
Later in the transcript, AC Officer Brett Raymos affirms under oath that all the photographs he took that evening, May 2nd, 2013 were with a department issued digital camera.
Now at the Bedford Township meeting dated 3/4/2014 (which can be seen off the web, http://bedfordmi.org/government/township_board.php), the Township’s attorney he stated that there are TWO sets of photographs, one set taken by the Complainant (pig owner) and the other set taken by AC Officer Brett Raymo.
STOP! Goldsmith’s revelation is breaking news – first time we’ve heard that. He has NEVER once stated in the OFFICIAL Show Cause Hearing that he had ANY pictures from the pig owner. In fact, on several occasions throughout the Show Cause Hearing he misleads the audience to believe that ALL the pictures were from AC Officer Brett Raymo. EVERY SINGLE picture in Exhibit D were taken by the pig owner. NOT ONE of those pictures in Exhibit D was taken by AC Officer Brett Raymo. They were ALL taken by a BlackBerry.
